Unzip Download and unzip both files into the same local folder on your PC, for . The actual folder name doesn’t matter.

Read the C:\<local folder>\STARTER_V54_SP2_HF1_Programm\01_Readme\Readme.rtf file for installation details. Main Key steps are:

  • Run Setup.exe as Administrator.

  • Select all checkboxes (including STEP7). Also select all checkboxes including Automation License Manager and SIMATIC CFC V9.0 SP5.

  • The process may take 30 mins or more. Restart when done.

  • Need floating license to operate DCC. This is handled via ALM (Automation License Manager).

  • The license dongle in inserted and shows on Automation License Manager under License Key. Transfer this to My Computer -> C:\ drive to be accessible on STARTER.
