Globus is a non-profit service, based at the University of Chicago, that provides secure and reliable research data management. The NSF's DKIST project uses Globus for identifying you and transporting your data.
In order to log into the DKIST Proposal Architect (PA) tool or the DKIST Data Center (DC) Portal, you must have a Globus account/identity. To create an account, please follow the instructions below. There are some sample screen images added throughout this page to aid in clarity. The instructions are PA-centric, but also work for setting up a Globus account for the DC Portal.

Creating your account
In the Proposal Architect tool, click "LOG IN" (top). Or go to the Globus login page. (The same workflow is used for the Data Center Portal.)
There are three ways to create your Globus account:.
Through your organization
i. In the "Use your existing organizational login" field, put the name of the organization you are affiliated with.

5. In the Proposal Architect, click "LOG IN".
6. If you just created an account or it's been more than a day since you last logged in, you will be routed once again to the Globus login page.
