Q1 Questions:

  • How do we want to treat the week of the ConOps review?

  • Does the InstOps on-Sun time count against the nominal 7 weeks of SciOps time between engineering periods? Or can we go an extra week or two?

  • Should we do another S&B after the InstOps on-Sun period at the end of February?

  • Sesame Street film crew will need a few days some time late-Feb. into March. When would be the optimal time?

Q1 Highest Priorities for each group:

  • Science Ops

    • Being back on sun the week before RSW SO opens: RSW open on 03/11 that means we need to be back ideally on 03/05 with S&B on 03/03+4 (+/- 1 day or so) - the first co-observing is planned on the 03/12 ; we are never ready on the first day of S&B would be only on 03/10+11!

    • Interlaced Cycle 3 observing start with co-observing with SO at least until the week of April 21 ….

    • Co-observing during PSPE23: first of two closest ever encounters (also: MLSO/UCOMP will be running!). The one in March 03/21 is the highest priority ; this will require to be on sun the entire weekend (Sat+Sun, Mar. 22-23) including days prior and after.

    • Preparations for release of the Cycle 4 Proposal Call in full swing ; release date of call will be mid May ; we are not going to be able to do this earlier.

  • Technical Ops

    • Enclosure cable wrap Hose replacement (might bring forward depending on Siemens contract)

    • Enclosure azimuth drive tuning with Siemens tech on site (stuck in contracting hell)

    • Thermal System review (stuck in contracting hell)

    • Spring Maintenance (all the big movers usually 3 weeks in Mar. / April)

    • Annual Electrical Panel Maint. Shutdown (first week of Jan)

    • PV Breaker Tie in (maybe along with the above or later depending on DLNR permit / contracting)

    • Enclosure Aperture Investigation testing

    • Chiller 5 & 6 servicing (1 week non-concurrent)

    • Cycle / Cadence 6d/w typical, 9 week cycle of 2 maint, 1 S&B + CO2 clean + start of on-sun, 6 weeks Obs with 2 days for CO2 clean.

  • Instrumentation Ops

    • M7 alignment check

    • Instrument full checkout after extensive upgrades

    • If possible: VISPOPS-338

    • If possible: High-speed camera [vibrometer setup modification [MPS]]

    • If possible: Durham turbulence profiler install

  • Data Center

    • Complete DL-NIRSP Pipeline and process data

    • Implement ACP to VISP pipeline.

    • Complete update of application tracing to add new tracing library

    • Integrate new Ceph metrics into observability framework

    • Complete Experiment Architect templating for at least one instrument

  • EHS

  • We want to have Maui Fire up for a site tour as part of our Emergency Action Planning. Open to any windows during engineering. Not during the larger tours as I would need one on one time with them.
