Mount Hard Stops
Mount Hard Stops
The mount azimuth hard stops are designed to prevent the mount from exceeded it’s designed travel range. Because the mount can travel more that 360° the hard stops must be retracted to allow travel.
There are two hard stops that are spring-operated to the deployed (up position). The Beckhoff controllers retracts the hard stop using pneumatics.
During most of the travel range the stops are in the retracted (down position). As the mount approaches the end of travel the hard stops are released and allowed to deploy.
Condition | Mount Azimuth Angle |
---|---|
Lower End Hard Stop must deploy | <-80.0° |
Lower End Hard Stop must retract | >-69.0° |
Upper End Hard Stop must retract | <289.0° |
Upper End Hard Stop must deploy | >300.0° |
