To install SolidWorks Vault: SOLIDWORKS 20 23 SP 3 .0 PDM Instructions

To create a new vault view in Windows Explorer:

  • install Solidworks PDM

  • click start > Solidworks PDM > view setup

  • when asked for a server name, enter hades.dssc.nso.edu . Default port 3030 is good.

  • when a blue box pops up with a login:

    • username = staff

    • password = hAleakala-u1r1

    • third field is local, not AD

  • click ‘next’

    then check the box next to DKIST File Vault

  • install to the C:\ drive & for all users

  • click through. it should prompt you to login to the vault to complete the setup - it may hang for 1-2 minutes if this is the first time you connect.
