DKIST has a Boltek EFM-100 lighting detector installed on the Utility Building at the summit.

It currently is monitored by a server in the upper floor of the utility building at 10.9.1.20; contact Wade or Colleen for server setup and login details.

There is also a lightning strike counter mounted in the Mez level rotator, on the North side of the main entrance doors. Batteries were replaced on 5/4/2022, counter reset to 0 and the time and date set; the docs call for CR17553 batteries, but CR123 lithium batteries are equivalent and are easier to source.
