Operational Status

• We are currently in week 1 of Science Operations period OCP 2.7.

Events

• Start of Science Observing period OCP 2.7 - 5/24.

• DKIST dry-run presentations for NSF CA extension review - 5/30

• NSF CA extension review at NSO in Boulder - 6/4-6/6

Personnel

• Welcome aboard new employee Francisco Salinas who started as a Science Operations Specialist on Maui, HI

SciOps and OpsTools team

Accomplishments

• Implemented (observed) first proposal in this observing window.

• On standby for Sunrise III co-observing (daily until launch).

• Half-way through Cycle 3 proposal submission window: preparing of announcements (reminders) to send out.

• Management support activities in preparation for the Cycle 3 proposal review (specifically for technical review).

TechOps team

Accomplishments

• M1 and Feed Optics Snow / Nitrogen cleaning prior to start of observing.

• Mount, Enclosure, Coude and Thermal Shake and Bake complete coming out of engineering period 2024B and start of OCP2.7 (5/24).

• SOS control of Facility Thermal mode switching from housekeeping to observing mode via FCS interface.

• Review and start of the FAA laydown area final demobilization of material & containers.

• invading bug (biological) removed from GOS Air Force target.

InstOps team

Accomplishments

• VTF alignment completed for now. Etalon turned on and working.

• Cryo-NIRSP pumped down and cooled.

• ViSP and VBI tests completed and ready for OCP 2.7

• HLS final release deployed and tested.
