Events

DKIST hosted Shadow the Scientist featuring Dr. Sarah Jaeggli - 8/20.
Pau Hana celebrating Sebastien Poupor, Linda Edwards and Sarah Jaeggli was held at the DSSC - 8/22.
The Cycle 3 Science Review Committee (SRC) will meet at NSO Boulder - 8/26-8/28.

SciOps and OpsTools team

Accomplishments

Ongoing observing support for OCP2.8.
Continued training activities of new SOS hire.
Finalizing the OCP2.9 plan and preparing to schedule science operations support (resident scientist and science operations specialists shift schedules).
OpsTool team preparing for the release of a new version of the Operations Panning and Monitoring Tool.

TechOps team

Accomplishments

Ongoing TechOps support for OCP 2.8
DKIST Access Control System was installed and is up and running. Thanks to Marco / Koki and IT support in getting everything working with the contractor.
Primary Chiller 1 Failure on Sun 8/18 required a full system shutdown. Switched to Chiller 2 on Mon 8/19 with thermal engineer support and back to on-sun mid morning. Repair planned for 8/22.
Review of tasks and planning for engineering 2024D starting 9/9.

InstOps team

Accomplishments

Ongoing Instrumentation support for OCP 2.8
VBI: took data for verification of a timing fix impacting the VBI in Rolling Shutter mode, analysis ongoing
Cryo-NIRSP: intermittent CI camera controller problem was investigated
DL-NIRSP: Field steering mirror issue was diagnosed and fixed
VISP: data to verify external focus of VISP was acquired, analysis ongoing

Data Center team

Accomplishments

ongoing ingestion and processing of data for OCP 2.8
completed cryo-nirsp trial #8 in preparation for Cryo-NIRSP pipeline V1.0
Ongoing updates of services for updating of Data Center observability framework to V2.0
