DKIST General

• The DKIST senior leadership team has been working on an NSF-requested Concept of Operations plan for DKIST. This plan is due December 18, 2024, with a review on Maui scheduled for the week of February 10, 2025.

Operational Status

• DKIST is in week 1 of Engineering period Eng 2024f.

• The DKIST team has multiple job postings for positions on Maui.

SciOps and OpsTools team

Accomplishments

• Worked on the DKIST Concept of Operations plan.

• Worked on Cycle 2 closeout activities.

• Worked on user database clean-up (merging of accounts).

• Cycle 3 Experiment generation (ongoing).

TechOps team

EHS team

Accomplishments

·       EHS Con-ops review report submitted.

·       Fall protection training was completed by summit crews.

·       Maui Fire Dept. gave us hands on Fire Extinguisher training utilizing a fun digital simulator.

·       The EHS team had their first onboarding meeting with our new safety management application, Sospes. We hope to start to roll it out Mid-January.

·       New choking rescue device installed on summit and DSSC, training rolled out.
