• DKIST is in week 1 of engineering period 2024e

Events

• A Pau Hana is scheduled for the Maui Office on Thursday Nov. 20. We will be wishing farewell to Chriselle Galapon Nagata who will be taking a position as the Program Director of the Akamai Workforce Initiative.

Personnel

• Chriselle Galapon Nagata will be taking a position as the Program Director for the Akamai Workforce Initiative. Chriselle will continue to work for DKIST in a seasonal consultant role, and in her new role, will be keeping an eye out for the best Akamai interns for favorite partner DKIST.

Accomplishments

• Updated the VIPS TskBAse Subclass private methods to be public in order for them to show up in user documentation

• Added support for multiple time boxed parameter values in the integration test parameter loading framework

• Modified self.read in common to stop the memory leaks that happened when opening FITS files.

EHS team

Accomplishments

• Finished off CPR/First Aid/AED training for the year! Congratulations to our newly certified First Aiders; Keli’i, Rossel and Mary!

• We are in process of purchasing our new EHS Management app, Sospes. This will greatly simplify and improve inspections, hazard reporting and training and make the program more readily assessable to everyone. Hoping to have it up and operational by mid December.
