Adjusting offset of MMCS/CMCS time
Adjusting the offset should only be attempted by trained and authorized personnel.
Connecting to a VM
From one of the HLS Workstations or from a Windows computer using Remote Desktop Connection that has an authorized connection into the Control network:
Click Applications->Utilities->Remote Desktop Viewer (or from the command line run
vinagre
)Click Connect
Select RDP Protocol
Enter hostname or IP Address (MMCS: 10.3.1.12, CMCS: 10.3.1.13)
Set resolution: Width: 1600, Height: 1200
Enter username:
atst-devel
Click Connect
When prompted, enter password (hint: password was set before the system was sent to Hawaii)
Disconnect when finished
Multiple remote sessions (to different machines) can be started from the Remote Desktop Viewer instance. Each session will be displayed in a separate tab.
A second person opening a Remote Desktop session to the same Windows machine will cause the first session to terminate.
Adjusting offset
On the engineering interface in the MMCS Virtual Machine (10.3.1.12 by RDP).
Configuration screen,
Time tab.
Offset can be adjust by setting absolute offset or applying a relative offset.
