3.1 Activities
For the month of June, DKIST continued weeks 2-6 of OCP2.7 science observing.
The DKIST Directorate prepared for and presented to the NSF’s 2-year extension proposal review held June 4-6, 2024.
3.2 Financial Status
DKIST operations carried forward approximately $13.82M in unencumbered funds into FY 2024 from previous years. A total of $14.00M in new funding has been obligated by NSF thus far in FY 2024.
Financial status of May 31, 2024
DKIST operational expenditures for the current month were $2.47M
Total YTD expenditures for DKIST operations are $17.64M.
Total outstanding encumbrances are $10.61M.
The average DKIST spending for the past 12 months (burn rate; BR) is $2.51M / month.

began working on the EA templating - gathering requirements and gaining an understanding of how the scientists buid experimenets and were the time reduction can be easily made.
Removed the calls to from Ops tools related to the “proposal completion” message, which had been stripped from the ICD previously
Completed a backend update to Docker v25.0.3
4.7.1 Management
Provided Operational support to the science team related to proposal call cycle.
Prepared and delivered slides for the NSF review relating to the work that the OT software team did and was currently doing in supprot of science Ops.

7.1 Hardware Infrastructure
implemented an upgrade to the Asgaard and Dev stack to the Pacific version in preparation/test for deployment to the production stack
7.2 Software Infrastructure
7.2.1 Data Center
Prepared for and presneed the Data Center status to the NSF review panel
Updated the DHS-DC Interface Control Document to address the need for packaging small files into .tar files for faster and more efficient transfer of data from the summit to the data center
updated the Dkist processing stack and REST APIs to Pydantic 2
Scaled airflow out to 256 workers
Installed a new metrics stack - including storage and collection of metrics relating to the infrastructure.
7.2.2 Portal/Archive/Public
Created a list of actionable improvements to the portal from user feedback and began implementing them
Made searches based on Proposal ID and Experiment case insensitive
7.3 Science Data Processing
7.3.1 Calibration Pipelines
VBI
investigated the failure of the VBI pipeline related to the receipt and attempted processing of VBI mosaic pattern with a mosaic pattern that was not N x N (5 mosaic locations). this mode of VBI operation had not been encountered previously
Cryo-NIRSP
Redesigned and implemented the Processing Preparation Worker to include Cryo-NIRSP
Refactored the solar gain task to preform fringe correction based on a parameter
DL NIRSP
Generated integration tests for the DL-NIRSP Pipeline in preparation for he beta version release
Updated the current pipeline to reflect the use of the MISI in the newest data
